House Washing & Soft Wash.
Soft washing for cladding, soffits and gutters — lifts moss, mould, cobwebs and grime without blasting your paintwork off.
House Washing, done properly
Houses in the Upper Clutha take a beating. South-facing walls grow mould and lichen, soffits collect cobwebs, and the dust settles on everything between rains. Left alone for a few years it stops being cosmetic and starts shortening the life of your paint and cladding.
Soft washing is the fix. Low pressure plus the right treatment does the work chemically rather than by force, so nothing gets driven behind your cladding or under your window flashings.
Soft wash, not water blasting.
High-pressure blasting can force water behind weatherboards, strip paint, and damage soft joinery and seals. On a modern home with plaster or cedar cladding it can be an expensive mistake.
Soft washing uses a biodegradable treatment at low pressure. It kills the moss and mould at the root rather than just knocking the top off — which is why a soft wash stays looking clean for far longer than a blast does.
